Chocolate Chip Cookies

Here’s a classic recipe for delicious chocolate chip cookies.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups (12 oz) semi
  • sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy and smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add this mixture to the creamy mixture, mixing well.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
  7. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Remove the cookies from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for a couple of minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
