Immerse yourself in tranquility with the Lavender bar, a soothing blend that harnesses the calming properties of aromatic lavender. This luxurious soap features dried lavender blossoms and is infused with lavender essential oils to create a fragrant, relaxing experience.
Ingredients
- 45 oz lavender tea
- 20 oz lye
- 67 oz olive oil
- 36 oz coconut oil
- 24 oz almond oil
- 18 oz shea butter
- 1 oz lavender essential oil
- 2 cups finely ground dried lavender flowers
Instructions

- Make a strong batch of lavender tea. Chill tea in refrigerator for several hours before proceeding
- I like to heat my oils and butters over my woodstove but you could use a cookstove on low heat or a crockpot to melt and combine the oils and butters. Combine all oils and butters except the essential oil and 2 oz of almond oil
- Remove from heat and let cool while preparing lye mixture
- Add the lye to the tea little by little while gently stirring. You should do this in a WELL VENTILATED area and wear protective SAFETY GLASSES and GLOVES! Always add the lye to the tea. If you add the tea to the lye it can explode and cause burns. Keep vinegar on hand to rinse your skin immediately in case of lye burns.
- Once the lye has dissolved, add this mixture to the oils.
- Mix with an immersion blender until it comes to trace.
- Combine the essential oil and 2 oz of almond oil and quickly add to mixture along with the ground lavender flowers
- Pour into molds and keep in molds at room temperature 48 hours.
- Remove from molds and cut the bars to size.
- Let the bars cure for a minimum of 6 weeks before using.
