Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350o
  2. Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs
  3. In a separate bowl sift together flour, oatmeal, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg
  4. Add flour mixture to egg mixture alternating with the milk. Stir only until combined
  5. Add vanilla and raisins. Stir only until combined
  6. Form dough into balls, 2 tablespoons at a time. Place balls of dough on buttered cookie sheet
  7. Bake 10-15 minutes, until slightly browning on edges

**Optional: Add a small handful of chocolate chips when adding the raisins for a little extra treat
