Ingredients
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 4 Eggs
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350o
- Place 1/2 cup sugar in a sauce pan, heat over low heat, stirring frequently until sugar has melted and turns golden brown. Pour melted sugar into 6 custard cups to coat the bottom of the cups. Let cool.
- Beat eggs in a large bowl. Add milk, 1/2 cup sugar, and vanilla and stir until combined
- Place custard cups in a baking dish and fill the dish up with 1 inch of water.
- Pour egg mixture into custard cups. Sprinkle with cinnamon on top
- Bake for approximately 30 minutes until toothpick test comes out clean
- Remove custard cups from water and let cool completely.
- Loosen edges of custard from the cups with a butter knife. Place a small plate over the top and invert so custard falls out of cups onto the plate.
