Turkey Burgers Wrapped in Lettuce with Avocado and Salsa

These turkey burgers are a deliciously healthy alternative to traditional burgers, wrapped in crisp lettuce leaves for a low-carb option. Topped with creamy avocado and zesty salsa, they are perfect for a quick weeknight meal or a summer barbecue.

Ingredients
• 1 lb ground turkey
• 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon onion powder
• 1 teaspoon cumin
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 ripe avocado, sliced
• 1 cup salsa (store-bought or homemade)
• Large lettuce leaves (such as romaine or butter lettuce)
• Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
2. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat and lightly oil the surface.
4. Cook the turkey patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and are cooked through.
5. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the lettuce leaves and slice the avocado.
6. Once the turkey burgers are done, assemble each burger by placing a patty in a lettuce leaf, topping it with slices of avocado and a generous spoonful of salsa.
7. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
8. Serve immediately and enjoy your flavorful turkey burgers!
