These delicious teriyaki beef skewers are marinated in a homemade teriyaki sauce, grilled to perfection, and make for a flavorful appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds beef sirloin or flank steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- Wooden or metal skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)
- Optional garnish: sesame seeds and sliced green onions

Instructions
1. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and cornstarch (if using) until well combined.
2. Place the beef cubes in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish, and pour the marinade over the beef. Seal the bag or cover the dish and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (up to overnight for more flavor).
3. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
4. Thread the marinated beef cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
5. Grill the skewers for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
6. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes.
7. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, if desired, and serve warm. Enjoy!
