A delightful blend of rich chocolate and buttery vanilla flavors, marble cake is a timeless dessert that pleases every palate. Its visually striking swirls make it a favorite for celebrations and everyday indulgence alike.
Ingredients:
• 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
• 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
• ½ teaspoon salt
• ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
• 2 cups granulated sugar
• 4 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 cup milk
• ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• ¼ cup hot water
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt or tube pan.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
5. In a separate bowl, mix the cocoa powder with the hot water until smooth to create a chocolate batter.
6. Divide the vanilla batter in half. Add the chocolate batter to one half and mix until combined.
7. Alternately spoon the vanilla and chocolate batters into the prepared pan, using a knife or skewer to swirl the batters together gently for a marbled effect.
8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
