Blackened Salmon

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions:
1. In a small bowl, combine the paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper to create the blackening seasoning.
2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and evenly coat both sides with the seasoning mix.
3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
4. Add the salmon fillets to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and has a blackened crust.
5. Remove the salmon from the skillet and let it rest for a minute before serving.
6. Serve with lemon wedges for an extra burst of flavor.
