Pumpkin Brownies

Pumpkin brownies are a delightful dessert that combines the rich, fudgy texture of brownies with the warm, spiced flavors of pumpkin. Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (canned or fresh)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips or nuts

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easier removal.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar, stirring until well combined.
3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth. Then, stir in the pumpkin puree.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. If desired, fold in chocolate chips or nuts for added texture.
6. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
8. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares. Enjoy these delicious pumpkin brownies as a perfect fall treat!
