These homemade granola bars are a nutritious and delicious snack that you can customize to suit your taste. Packed with oats, nuts, and your favorite mix-ins, they provide a perfect balance of energy and flavor, making them ideal for breakfast or a midday boost.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans), chopped
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (peanut, almond, or cashew)
  • 1/2 cup dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, or apricots), chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chocolate chips or seeds (pumpkin or sunflower)

Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, chopped nuts, cinnamon, and salt. In a separate microwave-safe bowl, mix the honey (or maple syrup) and nut butter, then heat for about 30 seconds until warm and easy to stir.
3. Pour the honey and nut butter mixture over the dry ingredients and mix until everything is well combined. Fold in the dried fruit and any optional chocolate chips or seeds.
4. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press it down firmly into an even layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
5. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before lifting it out using the parchment paper. Cut into bars and store in an airtight container.
